In a previous post, I shared a video that I made about my “control journal”. This was the first video I have dared to post on the internet. I basically did a “voiceover video” because I am still not bold enough to show my mug on camera. I didn’t script the video and while explaining the theme scripture for the book, which was “through skillful and Godly wisdom is my life, my home and my family built”, I uttered “without Him, nothing works”.

Words cannot express how true this is in my life. I am utterly dependent upon the Lord. Not perfectly walking it out in all areas, but I am so dependent on Him to do everything. What’s cool about that, is that it is okay to be that way. In this world, you can look to people and things and be sorely disappointed. The Lord never disappoints. He always provides the wisdom and help I need to not just survive but to live. I really don’t understand how a person can deal in this life without connection with Him. Some may call it a crutch, but it’s too late now. I’m hooked.

Early on in my Christian walk, I spent much more time in the Word than I do now. And so someone asked me what I did with most of my time. I told them that I read my Bible. This person said to me, “that’s good, but you need to get back to reality.” I didn’t say anything in response, but I said to myself, “get back to reality, this is my REALITY!” I could relate to how Peter answered Jesus, after Jesus asked would Peter leave him. Peter said, “where are we going to go, you are the one who has the words to eternal life”  (my translation).

Rambling here and I may come back and edit this later, but I just wanted to express that “without Him, I can do nothing” but “through Christ, I can do all things. I sing and enjoy music very much and the following song (which brings me to tears every time I listen to it) sums up what I’m trying to say in this post.

And if you hearken to these precepts and keep and do them, the Lord your God will keep with you the covenant and the steadfast love which He swore to your fathers; And He will love you and bless you … He will make you fertile .. (Deut 7:12,13)

You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be male or female barren among you or among your cattle. (Deut 7:14)

These are the blessings that will come upon you: …many children… (Deut 28:4)

The Lord will give you an abundance of good things in the land, just as he promised: many children…. (Deut 28:11)

If you return to the Lord and obey all the commandments that I command you today….The Lord your God will prosper everything you do and give you many children…(Deut 30:9)

Upon You have I leaned and relied from birth; You are He Who took me from my mother’s womb and have been my benefactor from that day. My praise is continually of You. (Psalms 71:6)

The Lord has been mindful of us; He will bless us…He will bless those who reverently and worshipfully fear the Lord, both small and great. The Lord will increase you more and more, you and your children. (Psalms 115:12,13,14)

Lo, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. As arrows are in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. Happy, blessed, and fortunate is the man whose quiver is full of them! (about 7 or (Psalms 127:3-5)

Blessed is every one who fears, reveres and worships the Lord; who walks in His ways and lives according to His commandments. For you shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; happy, blessed, fortunate, shall you be, and it shall be well with you. Your wife shall be as a fruitful vine in the innermost parts of your house; your children like olive plants round about your table. Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord. (Psalms 128:1-4)

So in the course of time Hannah conceived and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, “Because I asked the Lord for him.” (1 Samuel 1:20)

“For this boy I prayed, and the Lord has given me my petition which I have asked of Him. (1 Samuel 1:27)

Healthy Pregnancy and Baby

You shall serve the Lord your God;..None shall lose her young by miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days. (Exodus 23:25,26)

For you did form my inward parts, You did knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will confess and praise You, for You are fearfully wonderful, and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was being formed in secret and intricately and curiously wrought (as if embroidered with various colors) in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days of my life were written, before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them. (Psalms 139:13-16)

As you know not what is the way of the wind or how the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a pregnant woman, even so you know not the work of God Who does all. (Ecclesiastes 11:5)

..the Lord has called me from the womb, from the body of my mother He has named me. (Isaiah 49:1)

Before I formed you in womb I knew and approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you… (Jeremiah 1:5)

…being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philipians 1:6)

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting of shadows. (James 1:17)

Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for Me? (Jeremiah 32:27)

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give the desires and secret petitions of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord- roll and repose [each care of] your load on Him; trust (lean on, rely on and be confident) also in Him, and He will bring it to pass. (Psalms 37:4,5)

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever you desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. (Mark 11:23,24)

Godly Labor and Delivery

The midwives answered Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women; they are vigorous and quickly delivered; their babies are born before the midwife comes to them. (Exodus 1:19-20)

For He will His angels especial charge over you, to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways of obedience and service. (Psalms 91:11)

Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son. (Isaiah 66:7)

Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children. (Isaiah 66:8)

“Do I bring to the moment of birth and not give delivery?” says the Lord. “Do I close up the womb when I bring to delivery?” says your God. (Isaiah 66:9)

Surely He has borne our griefs- sickness, weakness, and distress- and carried our sorrows and pain. (Isaiah 53:4)

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. (Galatians 3:13,14)

For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. Isaiah 41:13

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Ephesians 6:10

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Hebrews 13:5,6

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:14,15,16

And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. Exodus 23:25

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Proverbs 3:7,8

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:4,5

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;…Psalms 103:1-3

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 1Peter 2:24

Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever. I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? Psalm 118: 4,5,6

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. Isaiah 54:17

The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. Psalms 34:7

For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God? It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. Psalm 18:31,32

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:28-31

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psalm 27:14

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philipians 4:13
